Portglenone assault appeal

Detectives in Ballymena are appealing for information following the report of an injured man being found on the Main Street of Portglenone almost two weeks ago.

Commenting on the incident, Detective Chief Inspector Catherine Magee said: “Police are trying to establish the circumstances surrounding injuries which were sustained by a man at approximately 3.00am on Saturday, 4 October. He was taken to hospital for treatment to a head injury.

“I would appeal to anyone who may have been in the Main Street area of Portglenone any time between 1.00am and 3.00am on Saturday, 4 October and who may have seen anything to contact Detectives at Ballymena on the non emergency number 101.

“Or, if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
