Portrush assault:police appeal

POLICE in Coleraine are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Portrush in the early hours of Saturday, August 27.

At around 12.45am, it was reported that two men had been assaulted by a group of males on Glenmanus Park. One of the victims was taken to hospital for treatment for his injuries and was later released. Their injuries were not life-threatening.

Police arrested a juvenile and a 21-year-old man following the incident, both on suspicion of assault occasioning actual bodily harm.

They have been released on police bail pending further enquiries.
