£40,000 digger stolen from Ballymena site

A yellow Komatsu excavator digger with a value of more than £40,000 has been stolen from a building site in the Cushendall Road area of Ballymena.

The digger had a green rock hammer and it is estimated to be valued at approximately £41,000.

It is believed that it was driven away from the site at approximately 5.55am on Monday, 31 March on the back of a red Leyland DAF flatbed, 8 axle, lorry.

It was seen travelling countrywards in the direction of Cushendall.

Police are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and may have seen this lorry or who may have witnessed any suspicious activity.
