PSNI appeal for information after Union flag was stolen from outside a school in Maghera

DUP MLA for Mid Ulster Keith Buchanan has expressed “disappointment” that a Union flag was stolen from outside Maghera Primary School over the weekend.

Mr Buchanan said the matter has been reported to the PSNI as a sectarian hate crime.

He continued: “No school should ever be targeted in this way, and no community should have to tolerate behaviour that seeks to intimidate or divide.

“If anyone has any information regarding this incident, I would strongly encourage them to contact the PSNI and assist with their investigation.
