PSNI appeal for information on recent burglaries

On Tuesday evening, 28th, a woman returned to her hone at Glenbank Gardens in Foyle Springs to find a kitchen window had been broken.

The incident happened between 5pm and 8pm and a quantity of jewellery was stolen.

Also on Tuesday, a house at Woodbrook in the Galliagh area was broken into between 3.30pm and 10.30pm.

Meanwhile, a number of tools and a laptop computer were stolen from a business unit at Pennyburn Industrial Estate.

The tools included a sander, a polisher and an airgun. The incident occurred between 11.30am on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday

Detective Inspector David McQuade said: “We also received a report of heating oil being stolen from a house at Jeffrey Avenue in the Waterside on Tuesday. If you saw suspicious activity, we would like to hear from you. Please keep a look out strangers or unusual activity.”
