PSNI appeal over assault and criminal damage

Police in Foyle are appealing for information following an assault and criminal damage in the Strand Road area on Sunday, 18 August.

At approximately 12.15pm police received a report that as a man parked his van on the road he was approached by an unknown male who asked him for a lift. When the driver of the van refused the other male became racially abusive shouting and swearing. He chased the driver of the van into a property in the road. The man did not sustain any injuries.

The unknown male then went on to kick the door of the van, causing damage.

Police would ask anyone who may have witnessed this incident or who has any information to contact them at Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
