PSNI make appeal after arson incident

Detectives in Foyle are appealing for information after a report of arson and theft at residential premises at the Norcroft Street area in the early hours of Tuesday, August 5.

At around 1am, it was reported that a fire had started inside a house in the area. No one is believed to have been injured during the incident. Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished.

It is also believed that a flat screen television was taken during the incident. Enquiries are continuing, but at this stage police believe the fire was started deliberately.
