PSNI probe after man found seriously injured at NI property

A man is in a serious condition in hospital after being found injured at a property in NI.

Detectives from the PSNI have launched an investiagion after the man was discovered at a property in the Garvaghy Road area of Portadown last night (Thursday 13 August).

Police and paramedics were called to the address at around at around 8.20pm after sounds of a possible disturbance were heard.

A PSNI spokesperson said: “A 22 year old male, who had sustained a serious head injury, was located inside.

“He remains in a serious condition in hospital at present.

“At this time it is not clear if the injury has occurred as the result of an assault or a fall and detectives in Lurgan CID are keen to hear from anyone who was in the area and who may have witnessed something that could assist the investigation. Detectives can be contacted by calling 101, quoting reference 1944 13/08/20.

“Information can also be provided anonymously through the Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.”
