PSNI seek public’s help to solve crime

Police at Strand Road have appealed for information about an assault on a 15-year-old in the Waterside area of Londonderry and about a separate incident of criminal damage using spray paint.

At about 8pm on Thursday, September 23, three assailants were involved in the assault on the teenager at the play park in St Columb’s Park. The alleged assailants are all believed to be aged 15 to 17. Two members of the public intervened and the assailants ran off.

Police are also appealing for information after spray paint was used to damage garden walls, vehicles and doors in the Springtown area.

The damage was caused at Tranarossan Avenue at about 1.30am on Friday, September 25. No individual vehicle or property appears to have been targeted.
