PSNI warning after burglary in the Waterside

Detectives in Londonderry have issued an advisory notice to local people to be wary if offered a chance to buy antique jewellery from an unknown source.

The warning follows a burglary in the Clooney Park West area of the City on Tuesday, March 25.

It is believed the burglary took place between the hours of 8am and 7pm, when a house was entered and antique rings valued at about £2,000 were stolen. The perpetrators also made off with a number of electrical goods, including an iPad, iPhone and Laptop.

Meanwhile, jewellery was stolen form a house at Northland Road on Thursday, March 27, between 12.30pm and 3.15pm. Entry was forced via the rear door of the house.
