Public help victim during afternoon attack by two men

Members of the public came to the aid of a victim who was attacked by two men this afternoon close to an NI train station.

The PSNI has issued a witness appeal after the attack in Lurgan this afternoon.

A spokesperson said: “Police are investigating an assault that took place this afternoon between 12.15pm and 12.30pm near the junction of Brownlow Terrace and William Street in Lurgan.

“The victim was assaulted by two males, and it’s believed members of the public then came to their aid.

“If you witnessed this incident or can provide any details regarding it, please contact police on 101 quoting reference 859 of 22/07/21.”
