Report illegal dumping

Upper Bann DUP MLA Sydney Anderson called on people to come forward and report illegal dumping in the Banbridge area.

“I would take this opportunity to urge people to report any illegal dumping in the area,” he said. “This particular site has been used by illegal dumpers before and has been a cause of concern to local residents on previous occasions.

“I know that people are often reluctant to report such incidents, but illegal dumping is a practice that ultimately costs the public dearly when it comes to removal and clearing up.

“Illegal dumping can be detrimental to public health; it can have an effect on house prices and has an adverse impact upon the environment.

“This is something that affects the entire community and we all have a stake in tackling the problem.”
