Residents encouraged to join Rathfriland Neighbourhood Watch

DROMORE and Rathfriland Neighbourhood Policing Team are encouraging residents in the Rathfriland area to become involved in Neighbourhood Watch and help make their communities safer.

In conjunction with Banbridge District Policing Partnership and Banbridge Community Safety Partnership, the NPT will host a public meeting at Rathfriland Bowling Pavilion on Tuesday, 13 March at 7.30pm.

Sergeant Paul Ferguson, Dromore and Rathfriland NPT, explained: “We have organised the meeting to talk to local residents about neighbourhood watch schemes and explain how they work.

“Neighbourhood watch can bring communities together as well as making them safer and provides an opportunity for those who live in the area to get to know their neighbours and make a difference.

“I would encourage everyone to come along so they can talk to others involved in neighbourhood watch and find out how it could benefit their area.”

Anyone who would like further information can contact Sgt Ferguson and the NPT on 0845 600 8000.
