Robbed atknife-point

Knife and hammer-wielding thugs threatened the shop assistant before making off with a sum of cash from the newsagent in Londonderry’s Bogside.

Police say the men were both around six feet tall; one was wearing light grey coloured tracksuit bottoms, a light grey coloured hoodie top and a black balaclava. The other was wearing dark bottoms, a dark blue coloured hoodie top, and a black and white coloured football scarf.

The incident occurred at approximately 9.30pm at the shop in Blucher Street.

Police are asking anyone who may have seen the males in the area of Blucher Street between 9pm and 10pm to contact them at Strand Road station on 0845 600 8000 or call Crimestoppers in confidence on 0800 555 111.
