Robbery appeal

Detectives in Londonderry are appealing for information following the report of a robbery at a shop in the William Street area on Saturday, April 28.

At around 6.50pm it was reported that a man dressed in black and wearing a balaclava had entered the premises and struck a member of staff on the head with an unknown object. He then demanded keys to a safe and made off on foot with a sum of money in the direction of the Bogside.

Anyone who may have noticed anything suspicious in the area or who has any information about this incident is asked to contact police CID in Strand Road on 0845 600 8000.
