Sectarian graffiti removal welcomed

The removal of sectarian graffiti daubed along a wall in the commercial centre of Limavady town has been welcomed by local councillor Aaron Callan.

The UUP man said: “I am happy to say that council staff responded very quickly to my request to remove some sectarian graffiti just off Market Street in Limavady.

“This type of sectarian graffiti is not welcome in our community especially in our town centre. “Criminal damage such as this is not acceptable and I urge those responsible to rethink their actions.

“I would also ask the public to keep an eye for such activity and report when noticed.”

Mr Callan added: “Thanks to the staff for dealing with this so promptly I just hope it lasts.”
