Security alert
Police in Foyle attended a security alert in the Creggan area of Londonderry last night, Wednesday 23rd May.
Police received a report of a suspicious object in the area close to Creggan shops at approximately 9.45pm. A number of homes in the area were evacuated. ATO attended and following a controlled explosion declared this to be a hoax. Residents were allowed to return to their homes around 2am this morning.
