Serious assault at Castlerock Road

Detectives are appealing for witnesses following a serious assault in Coleraine on Sunday evening.

Shortly after 10pm police responded to a report of a fight between a number of people on the Castlerock Road.

A 27-year-old man was taken to hospital for treatment to a serious head wound as a result of the incident.

Detective Sergeant Brennan is appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident or may have any information which they believe may assist with the investigation to contact the detectives at Coleraine Police Station on the non-emergency number 101 or alternatively contact Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
