Serious sex assault in Cullybackey

Sometime between 8.30pm and 11.30pm, it was reported that a 16 year old girl was sexually assaulted by an unknown male in the area between licensed premises and the bridge on Main Street.

The male is described as approximately 19 years old, taller than 5’3’’ in height, muscly build with broad shoulders and a tanned complexion. He is described as having short brown hair which was gelled, and wore a blue t-shirt or shirt, and a blue, yellow and pink woollen hat with ties under the chin.

Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the Main Street area of Cullybackey last Saturday evening is asked to contact police in Ballymena on 0845 600 8000.
