Solicitor Joe hits right note for Alzheimer’s charity

BALLYMENA solicitor and Council Member of the Law Society of Northern Ireland, Joe Donnelly has helped raise over £6,000 in support of the Alzheimer’s Society.

BBC Newsline presenter Sarah Travers who is an ambassador for the Alzheimer’s Society was on hand this week to receive the cheque from Joe Donnelly.

Joe a practising solicitor in the Ballymena area is as well known for his musical prowess and skills as his legal ones.

In June he helped organise the ‘Bop to you Drop’ concert in Belfast attended by solicitors and members of the public.

The concert, which was sponsored by the Northern Bank, received considerable support from the local Antrim and Ballymena Solicitors Association.

Speaking after the presentation Mr. Donnelly said: “I am absolutely delighted to be presenting the Alzheimer’s Society with a cheque for over £6,000 raised by our members.

“We hope that the money raised will help the Alzheimer’s Society in the invaluable work and support which they provide for people who have dementia and their families.”
