Sunbed ran on stolen electricity
A 45-year old woman received a conditional discharge after she pleaded guilty at Londonderry magistrates Court to attempting to dishonestly use electricity.
Sandra Carlin, from Strabane Old Road, admitted to police during a search at her home under the Justice and Security Act on May 1 this year, that she had attached a magnet to an outside electricity meter. She told police that she had rented a sunbed for four weeks and was planning to use the magnet on the electricity meter for the duration of the lease.
She was a given conditional discharge for two years.
