Suspected ‘cannabis factory’ in Galgorm

Officers from the H District Crime Team have charged a 28 year old male with Producing a Class B Controlled Drug; Cultivating Cannabis; Possession of Class A controlled drug and Possession of a Class B controlled drug.

He is due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates’ Court on Thursday, 21 June.

As is normal procedure all charges will be reviewed by the PPS.

During a planned search operation, in the Maine Park area of Ballymena on Friday, 25 May, cannabis plants with an approximate street value of £14,500 and Herbal Cannabis with an approximate street value of £3,490 were seized. A number of other items were taken from the suspected cannabis factory for further forensic examinations.
