Swann’s scam warning
Assemblyman Swann says the email scam tries to give an air of truth by mentioning the name of British Prime Minister David Cameron in its content.
He said: “The latest scam gives the impression of being a genuine request for information, but it is an elaborate hoax to trick people into parting with their financial details.

“Given the tough economic climate in which we live, I appeal to constituents to be exceptionally wary of such email which at first sight may seem tempting. However, we have got to be aware of the dangers posed by online criminals.
“Everyone should keep in regular contact with their banks and building societies and brief themselves on the proper methods used to verify transactions.”
