Teen girl slapped officer in face

A TEENAGER who slapped a police officer in the face, knocking off his glasses, has had a two month jail term suspended for two years.

Annalise Quinn, of Great James Street, pleaded guilty to assault on police on February 4 when she appeared at the city’s Magistrate’s Court.

The court heard that during the assault the girl knocked glasses off the officer’s face.

Defence solicitor Seamus Quigley said his client’s previous convictions were dealt with in the youth court.

He added that this incident happened a month before Quinn’s 18th birthday.
