Teenagers arrested as police warn of crack down on anti-social behaviour in Craigavon

Antisocial behaviour will not be tolerated, is the clear message from Brownlow Neighbourhood Policing team as the summer months approach.

Following concerns from local residents, the neighbourhood team has increased antisocial behaviour patrols in the area and is encouraging locals to report antisocial and criminal activity at the earliest opportunity.

Constable Gary McKeown said: “During a recent ASB patrol in Enniskeen we found two young males drinking alcohol in a designated No Alcohol Zone. The 18 and 19-year-old have been reported to the council.

“The local community have told us that they want to be able to enjoy the green spaces and facilities that are on offer on their doorstep and want their children to be able to play freely without fear of antisocial behaviour.

“We will continue to patrol regularly and will work with our partner agencies. There will be a zero tolerance approach to anyone found involved in antisocial behaviour. I am also asking parents, youth leaders and anyone involved with young people to warn them of the consequences of getting caught up in ASB. A criminal conviction can have long lasting repercussions on your education, travel and career prospects.”
