Theft accused due in court

Two men, aged 30 and 21, have both been charged with burglary with intent to steal and four counts of theft.

The 21 year old man has further been charged with using a motor vehicle without insurance and no driving licence.

Both men are due to appear at Ballymena Magistrates Court this morning.

It is believed that the charges are in relation to the theft of cigarettes and scratchcards at shops in the Tullygarley Road area of Ballymena, the Queen Street area of Ballymoney, the Ballymena Road area of Ballymoney and the Ballybogy Road area of Ballymoney, all on the evening of Tuesday 31 March.

The men were arrested in the Victoria Road area of Derry in the early hours of Wednesday 1 April.
