Three children and two adults escape arson attack

Three children and two adults escaped injury after an arson attack at a home in Craigavon.

According to the PSNI a shed was set on fire in the Enniskeen area shortly before 3.45am on Monday 18th August.

“A male, a female and three children are believed to have been in the house at the time of the incident. No one is believed to have been harmed. Northern Ireland Fire and Rescue Service attended the scene and the fire was extinguished,” said the PSNI.

“Enquiries are continuing, but at this stage police believe the fire was started deliberately.

“Police would appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident or anyone who saw any suspicious activity in the area them at Lurgan Police Station on the non-emergency number 101 quoting reference 146180814. Or if someone would prefer to provide information without giving their details, they can contact the independent charity Crimestoppers and speak to them anonymously on 0800 555 111.”
