Two convicted of fraud

Two men were convicted at Craigavon Magistrate’s Court last week for claiming benefits they were not entitled to.

Gavin Treanor (33) of Main Street, Donaghcloney was fined £100 and ordered to pay court costs of £38 for wrongful encashment of Jobseekers Allowance totalling £52.

Conor Edwards (27) of Oakvale, Moyraverty was fined £200 and ordered to pay court costs of £57 for wrongful encashment of Jobseekers Allowance totalling £481.

Both are also required to repay any outstanding money wrongfully obtained to the Social Security Agency.
