Two juveniles arrested in relation to spate of Cookstown ‘burglaries’

The PSNI has arrested two youngsters in relation to a series of offences, including three separate “burglaries” in the area.

Police received a report of an attempted burglary in Lomond Heights in the early hours of this morning, while a house in Coolnafranky Park was burgled on Monday night.

A third home in the Westbury Drive area had also been targeted late on Monday.

Detective Inspector Will Tate said: “Two juveniles were arrested on suspicion of a number of offences, including criminal damage, attempted burglary, burglary and possession of suspected Class C drugs.

“There was a report of an attempted to burglary in the Lommond Heights area in the early hours of this morning (Tuesday, Nov 24).

“At around 11.30pm on Monday night (Nov 23), it was reported that a house in the Coolnafranky Park area had been burgled. Meanwhile, shortly before 10pm on Monday night (November 23rd), it was reported that there had been an attempted burglary in the Westbury Drive area.
