Phillip Gerard Henry (43), unemployed, of Beechland Park, Portglenone, also received six penalty points.
Henry was fined a further £100 with a £15 offender levy for taking the vehicle without the consent of the owner.

The court heard the offences came to light when police stopped a Transit van being driven by Henry on the Clady Road, Clady, at 6.15pm on July 4 last.
A PPS lawyer said checks carried out by police showed that the van was registered to someone else.
A defence solicitor said his client had taken the van to a friend’s house who had wanted a lift.

Pleading to the court for leniency, the solicitor said it had been 20 years since Henry had last transgressed.
The judge gave him 26 weeks to pay the penalties.
