Uninsured vehicle seized in Newtownabbey

A motorist received a fine and six points after being stopped by police in the Shore Road area of Newtownabbey today (Monday).

Detailing the incident, a PSNI spokesperson said: “Roads Policing officers from Steeple stopped this vehicle on the Shore Road, Newtownabbey a short time ago.

“Checks revealed there was no insurance in force for it to be on the road. The vehicle was seized and the driver was issued with an Endorsable Fixed Penalty Notice of £200 and six points placed on their driving licence.”
