Uninsured vehicles are seized sat PSNI
Foyle police say that a car and a van were seized in Shantallow on Wednesday of last week.
A PSNI spokesman said that they were detected being used without insurance.
“Vehicles seized for insurance offences are impounded until proof of insurance is produced and a release fee paid,” the spokesman said.
This is in addition to any penalty a court will impose, he said.
