Witnesses sought after Newtownabbey burglaries

Detectives are appealing for information following two burglaries in Newtownabbey yesterday (Tuesday, January 12).

Detailing the incidents, a PSNI spokesperson said: “It was reported that between 8.25pm and 9.30pm on Tuesday evening, houses were entered at Dunanney and Manse Rise.

“At Dunanney, a male entered the house and conducted a quick search of the property before making off with a coat and driving from the area in a silver Peugeot 307 car.

“At Manse Rise, entry was gained and car keys taken and used to steal a black Audi A4 car which was parked outside the house.

“The car has not yet been recovered. Further incidents in the general area were reported to police including damage caused to the front door of a house at Farmley Gardens and a report of four men acting suspiciously in the Carnmoney Road area.

“Enquiries are continuing and detectives are investigating a potential link between these incidents.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101, quoting incident reference number 1814 13/01/21.
