Woman accused of stealing £47,000
A Castledawson woman has been charged at Magherafelt Magistrates Court with stealing an estimated £47,078.
Helen McQuillan (47), of Magherafelt Road, is accused of stealing the cash belonging to Mr Charles Davison, trading as Select Kidz Retail, between June 1 last year and July 16 this year.
She also faces a fraud charge of abusing her position as an employee between the same dates. A defence lawyer said defendant could not attend court due to ill health. The District Judge adjourned the case till December 7.
