Woman arrested as PSNI continue probe into Magherafelt incidents

Inspector Finlay said: "At around 5:30am today (Sunday), police received a report of an abandoned vehicle, close to the roundabout on Castledawson Road.

"It was reported the vehicle had its doors open and it appeared to have collided with a fence. Police subsequently arrested a woman, aged 33 years old, on suspicion of driving offences. The woman remains in custody at this time, assisting with our enquiries.

"At around 7:40am today, police received a report in relation to an injured male on the A31 Magherafelt Bypass. The man, aged in his twenties, was taken to hospital."

"The Castledawson Road was closed for a time as police dealt with both incidents, however, the road has since reopened and enquiries are ongoing.

"There are no further details at this time."
