Woman assaulted

POLICE in Coleraine are appealing for information after a report of an alleged assault of a female at Brook Street in the town.

It was reported that shortly after 3.30pm on Monday, July 18 a woman was walking along Brook street towards the town centre when she noticed she was being followed by a man.

The man grabbed and dragged her approximately 30 yards down Circular Road towards Anderson Park.

The attacker ran off in the direction of the park. He is described as being in his late 40s or early 50s, 6’1’’ tall of medium build, clean shaven with short grey hair swept to one side.

He was wearing a grey v-neck jumper or cardigan, dark grey shirt and a tie.

Police are seeking information from anybody who was in the area at the time and who may have any information to contact them at Coleraine on 0845 600 8000 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
