Woman punched by burglar

Detectives in Ballymena are appealing for information following the incident in the Clonavon Road area of Ballymena in the early hours of Sunday, 2 March.

Shortly before 12.30am it was reported that a male had entered a house and ransacked it. He entered a bedroom where the female occupier was and punched her several times to the face, before fleeing the property.

It is believed that a mobile phone was stolen.

The male is described as being in his mid 20’s with short fair hair, wearing a dark jacket.
