Young siblings got vital guidance
Siblings Kiera (28) and Kieran Coyle (21) say Kinship Care has been indispensable in helping them care for their younger brother and sister after they lost their parents in 2009 and 2012.
“When this first happened, I didn’t know about Kinship Care,” said Kiera. “I actually found out about them through Facebook. I didn’t think there were a lot of people in my situation until I joined the group.”
She said she got vital practical and emotional support through the organisation, including legal advice and information on benefit entitlements.
Kiera said: “I didn’t think there were a lot of people in my situation until I joined the group.” The charity has received £2,740 from the Big Lottery Fund.
