“When this first happened, I didn’t know about Kinship Care,” said Kiera. “I actually found out about them through Facebook. I didn’t think there were a lot of people in my situation until I joined the group.”

She said she got vital practical and emotional support through the organisation, including legal advice and information on benefit entitlements.

Kiera said: “I didn’t think there were a lot of people in my situation until I joined the group.” The charity has received £2,740 from the Big Lottery Fund.
