Teachers and pupils came together on Thursday, October 17, to honour Callan McErlain, a popular young student whose passing caused much sadness.

During the previous week, Callan’s friends and his sister Tamara sold orange balloons and wristbands to raise money for Team 338, supporting Marie Curie Cancer Care and the Friends of the Cancer Centre, Belfast City Hospital.

There was an overwhelming response, with wristbands proving very popular – the new fashion accessory for CPC students!

Balloon sales were also a great success, with almost 600 being sold.

On the morning, everyone in Cross and Passion College gathered on the all weather pitch for the Balloon Release.

After a moment’s silence the balloons were set free, and it really was a spectacular sight to watch the orange balloons disperse in the distance against the background of a perfect blue sky.
