Cross-community mural unveiled at Hazelwood

STAFF, pupils, parents and members of the local community got together at Hazelwood Integrated Primary School for a special celebratory assembly on Friday afternoon (October 21) to mark the unveiling of a new wall mural.

The painting of the colourful new mural on the ‘Snakey Path’ wall was organised by Hazelwood Integrated Primary School in collaboration with Hazelwood Integrated College and the Greater Whitewell Community Surgery in a bid to encourage members of the local communities to work together. The finished artwork reflects the children’s views about school, community life and their local area.

The project was funded by the ‘Extended Schools’ programme, which is designed to provide opportunities for children, parents and the wider community to enhance community links.
