Crumin WI learn of ‘Donkey Sanctuary’

The speaker for the recent Crumlin WI meeting was Lorraine from the charity ‘The Donkey Sanctuary’ near Templepatrick.

With the help of a power point presentation she explained the history of the sanctuary which is a world wide organisation with the local branch being the only one in Ireland.

The Sanctuary acts as an assisted therapy and welfare centre and caters for children with all special and additional needs.

After supper Yvonne extended best wishes to Carol Borland who is moving away from Crumlin.

Congratulations to Hazel Campbell on coming second in the Phyliss Gailey Literary Competition.

Winner of monthly competition a decorated horseshoe was Jean Jackson and the birthday girl was Helen Lewis.
