Cubs battle it out

THE annual Cub Scouts Five-a-side football tournament took place in Lurgan on Saturday.

A total of 23 teams took part in the event at the Lurgan Town Arena.

Winners of the Northern Ireland Shield were 1st Eglinton, while 1st Lisbellaw took the City Trophy.

The United Trophy was won by 4th Bangor and 1st Lurgan got in on the act winning the Blues Trophy.

The organisers thanked Phil McKinley and Lurgan Town for all their help in accomodating the tournament at their immaculate facilities.
