The Post Office that was set for closure has now been integrated into the new 5,500sq ft store, situated on the village’s Main Street.

With shocking statistics suggesting that around three Post Offices close every week in the UK, EUROSPAR is delighted to announce the move of Cullybackey Post office into its store.

EUROSPAR Store Manager, Laura McClean, said: “The Post Office is part of everyday life in communities across Northern Ireland. As a vital public service and the cornerstone of our local community it was vital for us to ensure Cullybackey did not lose this valuable resource.

“The Post Office plays a uniquely important role in the lives of many people across Northern Ireland and, in particular, research has shown that community members that are disabled or elderly are more reliant on this fundamental service.

“We welcome this new addition along with the existing Post Office staff into our store. Cullybackey community can breathe a sigh of relief that the Post Office will remain open.”

The Post Office’s Post Master, Brian Nichol announced his retirement this year, however, will make the move into EUROSPAR Cullybackey along with two other staff members.
