Cullybackey Scouts set for Swedish adventure

The five Explorer Scouts from Cullybackey will join up with 34,000 others from five continents for ten days of activities, fun and adventure. A World Jamboree takes place every four years and the theme of this one is ‘Simply Scouting’.

One of the Scouts said: “It is very difficult to imagine what the Jamboree experience will be like. There will be so many nationatilies, cultures and languages in one place - its going to be amazing.”

Another one said: “I’m looking forward to making friends with Scouts from around the world and learing more about their food, their music and what its like living in their country.

These Explorer Scouts have been looking forward to this experience for the past 18 months and thank everyone who has helped and supported them with their preparation and fundraising.
