Cushendall Road collision - police seeking information

Police investigating a road traffic collision on Ballymena’s Cushendall Road earlier this month have appealed for information from the public.

Speaking about the incident, which occurred on Monday evening, January 12, Inspector Alison Ferguson said: “The collision happened when a car, thought to be a red Vauxhall Mariva, struck the rear passenger door of a parked Suzuki Jeep. The driver of the jeep was putting a child into the car and so had the passenger door opened.

“The Mariva failed to stop following the collision. No one was injured as a result but damage was caused to the door of the jeep. Anyone who was on the Cushendall Road at around 5.15pm on Monday 12 January is asked to call Ballymena police on the non-emergency number 101.”
