Cutting the cake to celebrate 70 years of Portstewart WI

The President welcomed visitors, members and special guest Margery Thompson, Vice Chairperson of the WI Federation.

After an enjoyable meal the guests were entertained by Kathleen Stewart who composed and recited a poem on past memories of Portstewart WI.

Margaret Morrell gave a comedy monologue, Helen Jamieson and Joan Wright performed a comedy sketch and Susan Lyons entertained with songs on the guitar.

A vote of thanks was given by Iris Jamieson who presented Margery with a basket of flowers.

Each member received a programme and an anniversary bookmark depicting the badge of Portstewart WI.

Special thanks to president Helen Jamieson and secretary Susan Lyons for organising a very enjoyable afternoon.
