Cyclist dies after bus collision

The 51-year-old man who was fatally injured in the crash at Waveney Road shortly before 8.40pm on Thursday evening has been named as John Madden from the Coleraine and Ballymena areas.

There was widespread traffic disruption in the area for some time as police diverted motorists away from the scene.

Police have appealed for anyone with information or who witnessed the collision to contact them at Ballymena Police Station on 0845 600 8000.
