Cyclist struck by pellet

Police in Ballycastle are appealing for information after a shooting incident at the Whitepark Road area on Sunday, 26th June.

Shortly after 5:20pm, it was reported that a cyclist was struck on the hip by a pellet from a air rifle. It is believed the pellet was fired from a vehicle driving near to the cyclist. One firearm, a Huntington Beech 0.1777 CAL, 4.5MMG10 Repeater air gun pistol was seized shortly after the incident. One male is currently helping police with their enquiries.
