Cyclists brave the rain tocycle to work

DESPITE the very wet morning last Friday some 30 people got on their bikes and joined Lisburn Road Safety Committee and Lisburn City Centre Management for Bike to Work Day.

Between 7.30am and 10am the cycling commuters that braved the weather gathered in Market Square for a warm breakfast before heading off to their places of work.

The continued wet weather forced a number of events to be postponed or cancelled including the Castle Gardens Fayre and Family Cycle which was due to take place on June 16. However, some events did go ahead including Lisburn in Focus’s It Takes Two to Tandem and Bike to Work Day supported by Travelwise.
