Daisy treasure hunt in Diamond Centre

THE recent cold snap may put thoughts of the spring bloom in the back burner, but children in Coleraine are being asked to join in the search for daisies as part of charity fundraiser next week.

The daisy treasure hunt will take place at the Diamond Centre this Saturday, November 10 with a top prize on offer for the winner.

The event, which starts at 10am, is a fundraiser for the Northern Ireland Cancer Fund for Children charity.

Milburn Primary School teacher Kerri Chapman is organising the treasure hunt.

“I wanted to try and go with something in touch with the charity theme,” she said.

“The charity logo is a daisy, so it was perfect.

“There will be 10 daises stuck to various windows in the shopping centre and the aim of the game is simple. “If you can find all 10, and name the shops who have a daisy on the window, your answer sheet will be entered in the draw for a top prize.

“The sheets are £1 a go and it is open to anybody up to the age of 16,” she said.
